Ray J paid a visit to “The Wendy Williams Show” on Wednesday, where he talked about that huge and very public blowup he had with his wife of three years, Princess Love. The fight happened last month right after the 2019 Soul Train Music Awards.
Online, Love, who’s currently in her third trimester of pregnancy, accused the “One Wish” singer of stranding her and their daughter Melody Love in Las Vegas. She made the accusation after Ray J posted a family photo from the Soul Train Awards’ red carpet.

“Left me and Melody stranded in Vegas and blocked me from calling.. now you wanna post family photos 😂 #ByeUgly,” wrote Love in the comments of the photo.
She also accused her husband of partying with “escorts and strippers” in his hotel room after leaving the room they shared. Ray J then recorded a video and said he’s been left with a heavy heart but denied leaving his wife and baby stranded.
Shortly after, Love said she was done being with the “I Hit It First” creator and wrote “I don’t want to be married anymore.”
She also said the argument started because her husband asked her to move to Las Vegas, and she thought it was a bad idea for various reasons. But the two already had reunited when Ray J appeared at one of his wife’s photo shoots.
Now, fast-forward to Ray J’s visit to “The Wendy Williams Show,” and he said Vegas is now out of the question as a place to live. And he doubled down on his denial about leaving his family stranded.
“I love you Princess and look, it didn’t happen like that. I would never leave my baby and my daughter like that,” he told Williams.”I would die first before I leave them on the side of the road. But look, she’s right, I’m not going to even defend it. Baby, I was wrong, you are right.”
Then Ray J talked about the argument a bit.
“I wanted to stay in Vegas, she wanted to stay in L.A., as far as buying a house and stuff,” he explained.
“What is the attraction for you to live in Vegas?” Williams asked.
“I’m done with Vegas,” Ray J answered. “I hate Vegas. Never again.”
He also said it was his wife who convinced him that living in Vegas was a bad idea. “At the end of the day, I have to compromise, I have to do better,” Ray J explained. “I have to think a little more wiser.”
