‘Crushing Everyday’: Ashanti Knocks Fans Off Their Feet With Stunning Beauty Look

Ashanti is leaving folks speechless with her jaw-dropping beauty.

The “Body on Me” singer clearly won the crown for “Women Crush Wednesday” this week after uploading a video of herself taking an Instagram selfie. In the clip, she donned a bronzed makeup look with a bold red lip that matched her plunging red dress.

The ensemble showed off Ashanti’s ample cleavage and apparently complemented her skin complexion, according to fans. She opted for long, flowing loose curls and panned the camera from side to side, capturing her radiant beauty.

Ashanti has been going all out with showing off her looks this year, and it could be attributed to comments she made in 2018 about stepping out of the “box.” She told iHeart radio in March 2018, that she would be “trying different looks and shooting different kinds of visuals” for her appearance and music.

In December, the Grammy Award-winning singer was given the opportunity to work with New York-based designer Isabel Deng, the owner of fashion label Miss Circle, to create a clothing line of her liking.

“This is a very visual industry, so I feel like the more things that you’re a part of and the more that you’re able to show your brand and your style and who you are in different fashions, the better off you are,” Ashanti told Page Six at the time, adding that her fashion motto has always been to “stay classy and sassy and sexy, not trashy.”

The Miss Circle x Ashanti collection dropped later that month and featured 21 pieces ranging from $19 for a belt to items for $199.

Independent journalism doesn't fund itself.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
