The drama between Ray J Norwood and his wife Princess Love continues.
Norwood finally broke his silence on Thursday evening after his wife accused him of leaving her and their 18-month-old daughter stranded in Las Vegas earlier this week.
The “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” actor blasted his wife for taking their problems to social media and claimed his “heart has been heavy for the last past week.”
“Let me explain something to y’all because I don’t think y’all understand who I really am,” Norwood said in an Instagram video. “I am my family. I love my family. I’ve dedicated my life to my family. To insinuate that I would do anything to harm my daughter is just sad, man. I’m at the Sky Loft, if you can see. And I just don’t understand how somebody could get stranded if we never left. We been right here. You stay right there.”
He then continued by directing the rest of his message to Love.
“To take this to social media and create this crazy story about me leaving my baby in harm’s way, is not cool,” Norwood said before continuing on. “I apologize for everything that’s happened, we supposed to be at the tightest and at the strongest. … We have another baby coming in and these are not the things we’re supposed to do.”
Love, however, hit back at her husband and accused him of trying to play “victim” online. She also mentioned that Norwood completely blocked her from communicating with him via phone and social media.
With Melody Love on her hip, the eight-months pregnant mother said her and Norwood’s drama began when he tried to convince her to move to Las Vegas.
“He asked me to move to Vegas, and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t want to move to Vegas,’” Love explained on Instagram Live. “This is not the place to have kids, raise your kids. … It’s too many distractions. You already like to gamble [and] it’s way too many parties going on every night.”
Her refusal to move to Sin City apparently caused an explosive argument between them and prompted Norwood to allegedly “stay out all night.” When he didn’t come back to the hotel room, she supposedly checked into another one with their daughter, adding that she was still trying to find a way to drive her car back to Los Angeles, where they reside. She also claimed Norwood still has her blocked from his phone and hasn’t checked on her or their daughter.
Before hopping off Instagram, Love added, “I don’t want to be married anymore, period. … This is not love, and I’m done.”
Ray J. has yet to respond to his wife, but social media users have had mixed reactions.
“Why does she run to social media instead of her husband 🙃 . This is 1 of many reason why relationships don’t last.”
“This is so sad. The smallest things that happen, y’all wann file for divorce… It’s a marriage.. Y’all are suppose to have problems!! Leave the media out of it and work through it😑 Y’all are wild’in 😤”
“Love and Hip Hop storyline for next season 🤦🏾♀️ I really hope they keep their marriage out the spotlight. I was rooting for them”
