‘New Ghost and Tommy’: 50 Cent Sends ‘Power’ Fans Into a Frenzy After Posting and Deleting Shot of ‘Power Book II’ Cast Members

50 Cent returned to Instagram a few days ago, after he disabled his account last week. And one of the first things he posted was a photo from the set of “Power Book II: Ghost,” which immediately got people revved up.

“Power Book II: Ghost” is a spinoff of the Starz series “Power,” which the rapper executive produces.

“On set of ‘Power Book II’ right now. You know the vibes,” wrote 50 in a photo that showed him standing with Michael Rainey Jr., who plays Tariq, and Gianni Paolo, who plays his roommate Brayden.

In July, the creator of “Power,” Courtney Kemp, announced the spinoff at a panel discussion during the Television Critics Association and said it “Will continue the journey of some of ‘Power’s’ most controversial characters.”

Mary J. Blige will be one of the stars on the series, but the full cast has yet to be revealed. But that didn’t stop people from mentioning how eager they are for it to air.

“So this power book 2 was fr ok 50 get that bag I’m here for this,” someone wrote.

A lot of people also brought up Omari Hardwick‘s character Ghost St. Patrick being shot in the series 6 midseason finale and said 50’s photo gave them a huge clue. Because it hasn’t been revealed who actually shot Ghost yet.

“All i needed to see to confirm my theory…Tariq shot Ghost,” one person wrote.

“New ghost and tommy. I knew this is what was coming 🙌,” another fan wrote about Rainey Jr. and Paolo.

“If this show is about showing how tommy and ghost met and how they were as kids then it would be a hit,” a third person stated.

“Power Book II: Ghost” is just one of the shows being developed by Kemp after she signed a three-year deal with Starz’s parent company Lionsgate to create more content.
