Phaedra Parks’ ex-husband Apollo Nida is celebrating his first birthday on the outside world in five years and his life has certainly changed since 2014.
Nida had been behind bars on charges of conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bank fraud. But he was released from the Fort Dix Correctional Facility in July ahead of his scheduled date of Oct. 19. Now the 41-year-old is soaking up his big day with fiancée Sherien Almufti.

The post resulted in many of Almufti’s followers applauding the happy couple.

Parks has remained quiet as her ex-husband’s birthday goes on. She’s been focusing on her own love life as of late. She’s been dating former “The Haves and the Have Nots” actor Medina Islam since the summer.
“He’s very smart, very intelligent. He’s kind, we are both socially active. He’s really sober and smart. He’s a great father. So I’m excited about it,” she gushed of her beau, whom she met on the elite dating app Raya, to The Daily Mail.
