It’s fall, and with Halloween right around the corner, Ciara is helping her son get in on the fun by carving his very first pumpkin.
Future Zahir Wilburn excitedly explained on his mom’s Instagram Story Saturday how eager he is to cut into the squash and make a jack-o’-lantern.
“We’re carving a pumpkin at our house and it’s gonna be so much fun. I can’t wait to carve it. Let’s do it, Mommy. Happy Halloween,” the 5-year-old exclaims in the Oct. 19 footage.
“Pumpkin carving time!” Ciara says in an upbeat tone.
After Future chose which face he wanted to carve into the ribbed fruit, he and his mom got their hands dirty by digging out the seeds from the open gourd. While the child went free handed and used a shovel to collect the insides, mom Ciara tried to keep the mess at bay by wearing latex gloves in the process.
“He just can’t wait,” Ciara remarks before adding, “so much fun!”
Fans quickly ate up the mother-son bonding moment.
“👑 Awe you two are too cute”
“@siennaxzahir Future is getting his hands in there and loving it 🥰🎃” one fan told a pal.
“Love family time activity. Hopefully more parent get involved with their kids. My granddaughter tells me day how she loves most activities with parents from a little girl. Just be on the floor with her. Kids do remember love. ❤️❤️❤️”
“Beautiful smiles❤️❤️❤️”
Ciara has not only been bonding with her kids behind the scenes, she’s also ushered them out on the business front. The singer, who also is a mom to 2-year-old Sienna Princess, is the Creative Director for Kids’ at Finish Line. As such, she and her two children have appeared in ad campaigns for the footwear company’s kids’ brand.
CiCi’s duties in her role, which the shoe stores company announced in August, include sharing candid experiences with her family on her social media platforms. That may explain another part of Ciara’s Instagram Story over the weekend. Her son interviewed her about a project she’s working on for Finish Line.
“We are in Seattle, Washington, and we are on set for our photo shoot with Finish Line for the collection that I am creative directing!” Ciara happily explains. “Isn’t that cool? Did you have fun today, Future?”
“Oh, yeah!” he replies.
Future and his sister have already appeared in several promotional images for the shoe company’s kids brand, and there are currently 17 different looks Ciara styled for the line through Nike and Jordan.
