A recurring guest star on “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” was apprehended on Thursday in DeKalb County after allegedly trying to traffic two teenage girls for prostitution.
Lyndon “Sas” Smith, 26, who is the son of “LHHATL” cast member Karen “KK” King and brother of Scrapp DeLeon, and his alleged partner in crime James Ruffin, 27, were hauled off to jail on charges of criminal attempt to traffic persons for sexual servitude and criminal attempt to pimp a person less than 18 years of age, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
Authorities claim the two men were allegedly trying to transport the two teens out of state for prostitution. The ages of the two alleged victims were not released, but they were recovered safely by police and were not harmed during the incident, according to the newspaper.
Ruffin, reportedly faces several charges, including “pimping, trafficking, keeping a place of prostitution, interference with custody and violation of computer porn and child exploitation act,” according to his jail records.
Last August, the Atlanta Police Department sought out Sas in a murder investigation. Police believed he was a witness to a double shooting in which one man was fatally wounded and another was left in critical condition at the time.
In July 2016, he was shot in the head after a club appearance in Arizona, an incident in which the “All Gas” rapper was exiting the club parking lot when he was caught in the crossfire of a shootout, according to VH1. The wound proved to be non-life-threatening, and doctors were able to remove the bullet from the back of his skull.
Sas has made several appearances on “LHHATL,” but was not listed on the VH1 show’s website as an actual cast member.
Social media users have had several reactions to the television personality’s arrest and charges.
“Just throw the whole family away 😒 this shit is sick af. That’s all of they wana do is pimp on woman instead of getting a respectable career 🙄 and the nerve of them r Kelly ass niggas lock em the fuck up”
“And the girls were probably black 😮. Black men are suppose to protect us. Not sell us to the highest bidder. Toxic and useless to the black community. Throw them”
KK nor DeLeon has yet to speak on the sex allegations Sas is currently facing.
