‘Is My Eyes Playing Tricks on Me?’: Wendy Williams Fans Mesmerized by Talk Show Host’s New Look After Leaving Kevin Hunter

Wendy Williams once again opened up about her divorce from husband of nearly 22 years Kevin Hunter during a stop on “The View” Thursday, but fans took major notice of something else instead.

The host of “The Wendy Williams Show” was candid about her thoughts on being forced to start over months after Hunter welcomed a baby girl, reportedly with his longtime mistress, Sharina Hudson.

“Infidelity is one thing, a full baby is a whole ‘nother topic,” she said on Sept. 5. “A baby. I’m not changing Pampers, I wanna be pampered! I learned from my mother how to make lemons into lemonade. … What am I supposed to do, stay in the house and cry all day?”

Addressing her move to a sober house in March, Williams said it was all part of her getting a plan in order after putting what’s best for the former couple’s 19-year-old son first.

“I’m not a selfish mom, and I’m a very ‘plotative’ individual. I will plot on you, and that’s why I’m going into season 11 [of my talk show] and he’s changing Pampers!” she said.

However, while fans appreciated the star’s candor, they also remarked on how great she looks in the wake of leaving her hubby, who has allegedly carried on an affair for more than a decade.

“She’s looking better since she dropped that dead weight”

“Wendy looking kinda cute this morning”

“Do Wendy LOOK GOOD or is my eyes playing tricks one me? 👀❤️”

“She looks gorgeous 😍”

“Ever since she dropped Kevin it seems like she is so light and airy! He was definitely weighing her down! We go through things..she is not the first nor the last!”

“Wendy look good ❤️😍 she getting stronger 🔥”

It’s been a long road for Williams to get to the point of addressing the collapse of her marriage. Before she initially opened up about the divorce last month, she continued to “get her ducks in a row” by serving Hunter with divorce papers and having him removed as executive producer of her daytime talker. She also retained a new business manager in the form of famed TV producer Bernie Young.

Additionally, Williams dissolved the nonprofit she started with Hunter, The Hunter Foundation, which was established to help people with drug addiction, offer rehabilitation grants and provide drug education. Williams told Us Weekly in May she plans to launch a new foundation “in the near future to continue the important mission in helping those struggling with drug addiction and substance abuse.”
