It looks like K. Michelle and her supporters are going toe-to-toe against naysayers who have something to say about her post-surgery body.
This week the “Crazy Like Me” singer announced her new reality television series that slated to hit the small screen sometime soon. The show will be centered on her plastic surgery journey and helping other women like herself who’ve experienced similar complications with such procedures.
K. Michelle took to Instagram Monday evening and posted a video of herself in a revealing blue swimsuit. She instantly pointed toward her left hip, which appeared disproportionate in comparison to the right one and spoke about the detrimental effects the surgery had on her body.
“I have a new tv show coming out and it is to help women get silicone out of their body,” she said in the video. “I have not showed you guys my body since my surgery, but here it is… I have a big dent right here (and) that’s from where the tissue was cut out of me.”
She urged other “ladies” to not follow through with cosmetic surgery for the sake of looking “like somebody on Instagram.” She added, “You will have to fight for your life eventually.”
K. Michelle said she has two more weeks until her journey is complete and she’s back to looking normal and “natural.” Despite the positive message conveyed in her post, there were still detractors who attacked her appearance.
“Idc her body looks nasty af 🤢 she shouldnt got that surgery in the 1st place it looked dumb”
“Wats wrong with her lopsided hip 😕 that shxt looks mad weird”
However, fans of the “Can’t Raise a Man” singer instantly clapped back.
“For all u negative mfs at least she’s being honest with y’all about her mistakes. You still beautiful K and love how you have shared your journey to help other women! 👏🏼💪🏼♥️”
“If you talkin bout her body your disgusting. Respect her realness!!! Im happy for your self acceptance … and you look bomb af 🙌🌹”
In June 2018, the mother of one opened up about undergoing four surgical procedures to remove her black market butt injections. She told People magazine that the silicone spread throughout parts of her lower body, damaging her tissue and threatening her overall health.
“It’s the scariest thing in life, and I’m a tough girl,” she said. “I had these lumps and I was very disfigured.”
K. Michelle will be working with BET’s Jesse Collins for her new reality show. Other details have not been provided.
