The Migos’ Quavo will be stepping into the world of animation with a new children’s series.

Marginal Mediaworks, a company that’s partnered with the rapper, made the announcement on Wednesday. And Migos’ record label Quality Control Music is also involved, along with Motown and Imagine Kids+Family.

Reportedly, the series will be mainly for children ages 8 to 12, and it’ll be based on Atlanta hip-hop. Quality Control’s CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas will be a producer, as will the label’s COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee. Quavo, for his part, will wear an executive producer hat.

The series will also have new music attached to it, and there will be merchandise surrounding it as well.

“I have long seen how hip hop as well as our music really impacts kids” said Quavo in a statement. “I’ve loved animation my whole life whether on TV or in movies and I wanted my first jump into this premium content world to be a show just for kids.”

“It will definitely reflect the creativity, love and families in and around the NAWF side of Atlanta where we grew up,” he added.

Coach K, meanwhile, said the new series will give kids a new opportunity to see themselves, which wasn’t the case when he was growing up.

“What’s important and inspiring to me is that all kids will be seeing themselves in the faces and situations of these episodes,” he explained. “When I was growing up there was very little media that had brown and black-skinned kids feeling heard or seen and the ones that did stand out served as a crucial roadmap through our childhoods.”

“I’m about inclusive stories that address all kinds of situations that kids of all ethnic and financial backgrounds experience and to give them a common tool to learn and grow,” added Coach K. “These episodes will impact because they are educational and positive but with the dopest visuals and sounds our iconic rap culture can provide.”

Further details about the show are being kept under wraps for now.
