It looks like Lil Mo needs answers as to why she wasn’t named as one of R&B’s top singers.
Over the weekend, several lists of people’s 50 favorite rappers and R&B singers made its way around the Internet and arguably, a lot of music greats were left off the docket, including the “Super Woman” artist herself.
Tuesday evening, an Instagram blog posted a trending “TOP 50 RNB *last 30 years*” list which featured Michael Jackson as No. 1, Beyoncé No. 2 and mainstream rapper Drake as No. 3. Seemingly baffled, Lil Mo commented underneath the post, “The F–k!!!! Where my name at. How sway 😂.”
A few fans however blatantly disagreed with her request.
“I disagree Mohawk you haven’t did anything since the 90s 🤦🏾♀️”
“She got one good song 😂 no sweetie u didn’t make the list”
“Well sis your career didn’t…. Nevermind 🙄.”
Lil Mo clapped back at fans, writing, “Don’t play with me or my credentials lol.”
Other fans agreed with the “I Cry” singer and said she and others should’ve made the list.
“I agree with Mo!!! Future tho? Where is musiq soulchild, lyfe Jennings, jazmine Sullivan, y’all really trash 😩.”
“Wow how they ain’t include mo?! 🤷🏽♀️ It’s crazy how the ones that pave the way for R&B aren’t all on here and if some are there toward the end of the list!”
Lil Mo’s remarks comes on the heels of her announcing her split with husband and boxer Karl Dargan.
The R&B singer and her estranged husband appeared on the first season of “Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition” in March, and viewers witnessed a slew of their marital woes. Dargan was even busted video chatting another woman on the show while his wife headed to bed.
In May, Lil Mo posted a photo of herself sitting on a throne-like chair and officially announced their separation, writing via Instagram, “Queen!!! … I don’t do bum s–t or flock with peasants. That s–t beneath me. F–k nigga free GLOW! Get rid of the dead weight and level up. Told y’all i was gonna get ME back. Believe in me. Lil Mo #savageheart Issa movement. I reinvented myself 👑.”
Lil Mo and Dargan share one child together. She has four other children from previous relationships.
