It looks “Love and Hip Hop: New York” actress Alexis Skyy committed the ultimate braid faux pas.
The reality star was spotted wearing medium to jumbo loose plaits in her hair, which fans clearly weren’t a fan of. She took to her Instagram page Wednesday morning and posted a video of herself bobbing her head to Lil Kim’s “Crush On You” while listening to a radio station inside a car.
Skyy appeared on camera with no makeup and her hair plaited all around. She added in her caption, “You know the vibes baby. This HD lace is so bomb love it 😍.”
Her post wasn’t much of a hit with fans, especially those who criticized her recent hairdo.
“Hey Felicia is that you? 😂 Girl if you don’t take them damn dookie braids out yo head.”
“Not the dookie braids sis 🤦🏽 I didn’t recognize you at first.”
“Yeahh Alexis I ain’t feeling them Cecile braids! in ya hair 😂.”
Skyy chimed in her comments and addressed critics, explaining that she wore her hair in braids to achieve a “wavy” hairstyle. She also added, “These people are so stupid lol.”
The 24-year-old mother of one became a trending topic earlier this week for apparently helping a homeless woman and her baby.
Skyy said she was on her way to grab breakfast in downtown Atlanta when she spotted the mother and her child out on the streets.
“It broke my heart,” Skyy said in a now deleted Instagram post. She apparently took the woman’s son to her home after asking her for permission, then bathed and fed the child. Afterwards, she put both the mother and her son “Omari” up in a “hotel for a few days.”
The “LHHNY” actress also invited the homeless woman and her child to her charity drive she held at the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women and Children on Wednesday. According to her Instagram story, Skyy purchased several pizzas to feed the unfortunate and donated clothes, tents, water along with other toiletries.
Although she received backlash for her doings, others commended her apparent “good deeds.”
