Tami Roman recently opened up about the lingering pain she feels over the loss of her mother years after her death. And on her late mom’s birthday there was no exception.
“Happy birthday mommy! The last picture I took with the love of my life. All I see in you is beauty and strength, not the workings of the enemy… Cancer. I miss you & will do my best to live life in excellence for you and me! My angel, I love you! 😢❤️🙏🏽😇,” Roman wrote in the caption of a July 28 Instagram photo.
In the comments, Roman’s fans shared their condolences and heavenly birthday wishes.

Fans will remember seeing Buford on episodes of “Basketball Wives” and “The Real World” well before her passing in 2013. Buford’s feistiness, bold personality and humor were evident as where Roman got those characteristics from.
But it was during an appearance on the VH1 reality show that Roman and her mother shared a particularly tender moment. Coming clean for the first time to Buford about her past molestation, Buford broke down. Roman had also vowed to fix the problems she had with her mother, and, despite their issues, losing her mom led to an emotional response from Roman once she shared the news online the following year.
“My pain runs deep, my heart aches, my soul mourns – I have NEVER felt this way in my entire life. My mother is no longer with me and I may never be the same. Jesus…be with me and my daughters,” Roman said on Instagram at the time.
