Before former NBA All-Star Scottie Pippen was married to Larsa Pippen, whom he’s now divorced from, he was married to a woman named Karen McCollum from 1988 to 1990.
And it was around that time that another woman named Chyvette Valentine claims that she was the former NBA star’s mistress. She’s now suing him for almost $10,000.
Valentine spoke with The Blast and said she had an affair with Pippen from 1987 to 1993 when he was in Chicago playing for the Bulls. The alleged mistress also said she had no idea he was married at that time or had a newborn son named Antron.
She claims there was one time she saw some baby formula in Pippen’s house and suspicion arose. But the Hall of Famer said it was all for his sister and the relationship continued.
According to Valentine, she traveled to see Pippen whenever he played outside of the Windy City, and in doing so she spent money on gas for her vehicle, parking, meals, hotel rooms and other expenses that Pippen said he’d pay her back for but never did.
The woman —who claimed Pippen told her about his marriage while they were having sex on Valentine’s Day in 1988 — is suing the retired basketball player for $9,999, an amount that’s the most one can sue for in small claims court. But she said Pippen owes her far more than that.
At this time, the 53-year-old hasn’t responded publicly to the suit.
Besides Antron, he has four children with Larsa Pippen named Sophia, Scotty Jr., Justin and Preston. He also has a daughter with his former fiancée Yvette Deleone named Sierra, and another daughter named Taylor with Sonya Roby, who’s a model.
