Porsha Williams may no longer be with Dennis McKinley romantically, but that did not stop her from acknowledging the birthday of her co-parent.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star recognized it was her ex-fiancé’s 39th trip around the sun Thursday and posted a couple of photos of the Atlanta lounge owner and restaurateur to her Instagram page. The images were snapped at her baby shower in March.
“Happy 39th 🎉 Dennis 7/25,” Williams wrote in the caption.
The post came off as a little less than warm to her followers, however. They said as much in the comments section, too.
“So dry… but I get it🤣”
“Caption dry as hell 😩 thats how it be.”
“😂 idk why this caption so funny to me. take this birthday post and go Dennis 😩😭”
“Damn he just Dennis 😩🤦🏾♀️WELL HBD DENNIS… like she said.”
“Y’all right…It’s a bit dry…Oh Lawd😩😂”
“I’m dead💀💀 Po Dennis got a birthday shoutout straight from the Desert cuz LAWd knows that shoutout was hella dry😂🤣😂”
While Williams’ followers were bursting with laughter over the caption, they’ve also surmised that the couple’s relationship is firmly over. Rumors began bubbling in May that there was trouble in paradise after Williams unfollowed The Original Hot Dog Factory owner on Instagram. It was during that same time period that allegations emerged McKinley had been unfaithful.
In response, McKinley stated he would take legal action and lawyered up with Michael Sterling, his friend and the husband of Williams’ “RHOA” co-star Eva Marcille.
“These false and slanderous allegations against me are made solely to damage my reputation, jeopardize my ongoing businesses, and negatively impact my family,” McKinley told E! News in a statement issued in June. “My attempts to ignore this slander have only empowered Latasha Kebe (aka Tasha K.) to create more false accusations.”
Later that month, insiders told E! News that Williams and McKinley were no longer an item.
Speaking at the American Black Film Festival before the development went public, Williams made it clear she’ll never have any hate in her heart for McKinley, as the two share 4-month-old Pilar Jhena’.
“What I will always do is make sure I protect family. He will always be my daughter’s father and I will absolutely love him forever,” she said, as reported by Essence magazine. “We absolutely go through our ups and downs together. And I still thank God for the blessing I claimed a year ago. … I am still thankful to God and I know he is holding both of our hands as long as we stay in prayer.”
