R&B singer Keyshia Cole became a trending topic Monday afternoon after announcing her upcoming television series with BET network.
Cole, 37, and her boyfriend Niko “Khale” Hale, 23, are expecting their first child together and clearly couldn’t be more excited. The “Heaven Sent” singer, who’s about to be a mother for a second time, announced on Instagram this week that she’s working with BET for her very own baby special.
She posted a photo of herself, Khale and her 10-year-old son Daniel Gibson Jr. being filmed at a baby goods store. Cole was draped in a yellow top with her bulging belly as the center of attention. She also shared another photo of herself seemingly holding a baby shower invitation along with her 10-year-old holding a stuffed elephant, apparently for his unborn baby brother.
“Had a awesome FIRST WEEK OF FILMING 😩 KEYSHIA COLE IS COMING BACK TO BET!!!!” the four-time Grammy-nominated singer wrote of her upcoming reality show. “But this time 🤰🏽 She’s bringing Something SPECIAL! A BABY SPECIAL.”
She gave a special shoutout to her loved ones who were a part of the filming process. She also hoped both of her mothers, Frankie, her biological mom, and her adoptive mom Dr. Yvonne Cole would participate in the project. There’s no word on whether her sister Neffeteria “Neffe” Pugh will appear on the show.
Cole also announced she was only 10 days from giving birth.
Fans couldn’t have been excited about the singer’s big announcement.

Cole first appeared on reality television in 2006 with her BET docu-series “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is,” which featured her family and shed light on her rise to stardom. She then returned to the network with two other series: “Keyshia & Daniel: Family First” which featured her estranged husband, the former NBA player Daniel Gibson, and “Keyshia Cole: All In” that included her extended family.
Details, such as the premiere date of Cole’s new, series have yet to be released as she remains just days from delivering her baby boy.
Cole first announced she was pregnant for a second time in May. She confirmed she was having a son weeks later.
