Porsha Williams seems to be in a throwback kind of mood of late.
After sharing her baby photo days earlier, the seven-year veteran of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” on Thursday posted a yearbook photo of herself that appears to be from her days at Southwest DeKalb High School.
The star looked much different from the way she does today. Wearing what appears to be no makeup, small hoop earrings, a striped collared shirt, and a curly up-do, Williams looked more like a tomboy than the tight-dress-wearing “Dish Nation” host known today.
“Throw back Thuuurrrrsday! Back when I used to steal my brothers clothes and dress like a whole little boy! 👩🏾🦱 #PjTwinning #YoungP #PjMommy #DecaturGirl,” Williams captioned the post.
Commenters shared their delighted reactions to the throwback post.
“Yessssss microwave curl 🤣”
“Come thru swoop & curls 🙌🏾”
“Very pretty pic hun, PJ looks a little like you on here💯”
“Face still flawless ⚘”
But then, a fan remarked that Williams looked a lot like her “RHOA” co-star Kandi Burruss and tried to place her finger on exactly why.
“Why do you look so much like Kandi in this picture. That smile.”
Williams replied to offer up a reason for the resemblance between the two reality stars.
“@live2love_inc brown girls & big smiles,” she replied.
Others agreed with the fan and shared as much in response.
“I promise I scrolled back up to make sure Porsha posted this picture of ‘Kandi’. 😂 I was like, ‘I’m happy they’re in a much better space for real…’ lmao.”
“I shole thought it was Kandi 🤣🤣🤣”
“yes for a second I thought it was her for real..”
“yup looked like Kandi skin color and all🤔”
Last season of “RHOA” saw Williams and Burruss having a rather contentious relationship as Burruss got word that Williams’ then-boyfriend Dennis McKinley had a habit of wining and dinning every woman he dates. Plus, he was apparently seeing someone else when he and Williams were together.
But when Williams revealed she was expecting a baby with her beau, Burruss decided she owed her co-star an apology.
“I feel pretty s—-y about some of the things I said about Dennis, especially listening to what you said,” Burruss told Williams. “Obviously, those are some of the things that I had in my relationship as far as everybody had some s— to say in the beginning. … So, it’s like no matter what happened before he got to me, it don’t matter because what he got with me is amazing. So with that, I apologize for all that I said.”
