Folks say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, and that seemingly proves to be true for Reginae Carter and mother Toya Wright.
It’s pretty clear by now the 20-year-old carries both her mother and father rapper Lil Wayne‘s facial features, although fans frequently claim she’s Wright’s twin.
In one of Carter’s latest photo she uploaded to Instagram on Wednesday, folks actually misidentified her for her mother. She posted an image of herself wearing casual wear, including a white graphic T-shirt and jeans. She wore designer sunglasses frames and posed for the photo with her right hand on her hip, captioning her post with a blue heart emoji.
From first glance, fans apparently thought the “T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” star uploaded a photo of Wright to her Instagram feed.
“I thought you was Toya 😍😍!! girl you look just like your mama.”
“I thought you was your moms at first omg her twin.”
“Thought u was ya mom for a second am I the only one who thought it was Toya 🤦.”

Carter and Wright share a close bond with each other despite their different outlooks on certain situations, like the 20-year-old’s dating life.
She welcomed Carter with ex-husband Lil Wayne when she was only 16 years old. She didn’t have 1-year-old Reign Rushing, her second child, until she was 35. Nevertheless, the 36-year-old mother of two admitted to Kontrol Magazine, in which she was featured for Mother’s Day, that she’s stern when it comes to her daughters.
“My mother didn’t raise me, but she’s always been a loving mother,” Wright said. “When I had Reginae I was extremely young and didn’t know the first thing about being a mom. I’m more experienced now.”
