Reginae Carter‘s hair happens to be a hot topic this week on social media.
The 20-year-old is seemingly in hot water with Instagram’s “hair police” after fans blasted her for apparently having thin edges. The mockery started with Carter posting a beauty portrait of herself on Instagram Tuesday afternoon.
In the photo, she modeled a pair of denim shorts and a black bodysuit with the words “Thanks for nothing” plastered on it. She posed with her head to the side, looking down, and captioned her Instagram post “🤷🏾♀️ Bodysuit: @fashionnova.” She appeared to be in Miami with her mother and family on vacation.
Nevertheless, Carter’s post was instantly met with scrutiny.
“Your edges are gone sis could have blended the hair so you can’t see the tracks as much 🤞🏾.”
“No edge Nae them edges is nonexistent 😫😂.”
“Babieeeeeee your to young to have thin edges babieeeee 😑 that nuh look good.”
Despite the amount of negative comments the “T.I. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” received on her hair, a gang of fans raced to her defense.
“Lawd now y’all coming for this girl edges we all have experience some kind of breakage to our hair just stop 🙄,” one fan commented.
Another agreed, saying, “Now all of a sudden you basic ass bitches is edge gods! When u don’t even have none ! Y’all bitches got broke ass edges that’s why y’all mad wit them cheap ass thrown together weaves 🤮😂!”
As of late, Carter has been trending for recent spat with her mother Toya Wright on a recent episode of “Family and Friends Hustle.”
Wright, 36, made it clear that she doesn’t care for her daughter’s boyfriend rapper YFN Lucci, 28. She believes her daughter maybe ignoring the apparent red flags of her relationship with the “Everyday We Lit” rapper.
Carter, however, defended her boyfriend and labeled her mother as “controlling” and “overprotective.” A few fans agreed with her stance.
“She’s right but Reginae is young but she will learn. Toya is doing the most and should’ve took her own advice when she was younger 🤦🏾.”
“I get where Toya is coming from but shes over stepping her boundarys as a mom. Reginae has to learn for herself.”
