The husband of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes is prepping to learn whether or not he is cancer-free, but his followers have been left wondering why his wife wasn’t by his side.
Gregg Leakes took to Instagram Wednesday to ask for prayers as he went to the doctor to see the status of his stage four colon cancer.
“Good Morning World,” he began the May 8 post. “I’m asking for your Prayers as i take my body scan this am to see if there is any cancer in my body. I KNOW I’m healed by the Promises of God, by the Blood of Jesus and by your Prayers. I Thank You for your Prayers all the time and especially today as i take this Scan shortly.
“To God be the Glory and May HIS WILL take place in Heaven and on Earth. I go in this morning claiming Victory as i don’t know defeat. My God shall supply ALL my needs,” Gregg, who was diagnosed on May 5, 2018, concluded.
Many fans poured out with messages of support.
“Praying for complete healing in Jesus mighty name. Amen.”
“Sending prayers & love to you Mr Greg, God got you Soldier!!!🙏❤️🙏”
“🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 I don’t even watch the show anymore but I am so praying for your complete healing . 💕”
But soon, many fans wondered aloud about where Nene, who was recently seen partying it up at the Kentucky Derby, was during the process.
“He looking like a little snack this morning…where Nene been at?”
“Meanwhile nenes at the horse track being a skeezer..”
Hours later, Gregg gave his followers an update of sorts, indicating his cancer levels may have have been cleared.
“Almost time to shout Victory….God is a Healer & I Believe…” he captioned his post.
It’s true that Leakes has not been seen with her spouse as of late. Over the weekend she rubbed elbows with her ex-“RHOA” co-star Phaedra Parks as well as singer Michelle Williams at the Kentucky Derby.
Still, Leakes made time to offer up support to Gregg on his initial body scan post.
“🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 Love you so much,” she commented.
The remark, however, was met with criticism from some.
“BOOOO GO ON ANOTHER TRIRP THAT’S WHAT U GOOD 4.”

Nene has been getting heat from fans throughout her journey with Gregg as he coped with cancer over the past year. From her complaints about his meanness to mulling divorce amid his treatment, fans have not been on her side over the past few months.
