Tami Roman is now 49 years old, and she is disclosing that she’s happier than ever at this point in time.
The actress and reality TV star celebrated her birthday Wednesday, April 17, and shared a lengthy post of gratitude to her Instagram account that day.
“There are things I miss about being younger – particularly the ability to do a split, hang out all night (I be sleepy AF by 2am), wake up without my lower back killing me and I wish I had the eyesight I had even five years ago… but that stuff feels pretty trivial,” the “Basketball Wives” star said.
“I’m happier than I’ve been at any time in my life these days,” she continued. “I have amazing kids that I love with every inch of me, a loving dude, real friends, great business relationships and a flourishing career. I’ve been able to do good works, make a positive impact on others and have grown spiritually/emotionally/mentally. I am so thankful to have made it this far and look forward to what God does next!”
The star got lots of love from fans following her post.
“Happy birthday ma !! Love you like you always known you 😂❤️🔥💪🏽💯”
“@tamiroman happy birthday to one of the phenomenal woman and hardest working person I ever knew and see. Keep your heads up, and keep making moves. I’m so proud of you and your kids You guys rock. Enjoy your day muah. God blessed you!”
“Happy birthday and stay blessed and enjoy your day.”
Roman’s upbeat and reflective message comes months ahead of the time she’s due to make her return to “Basketball Wives” for season 8, which airs in June.
Nearly a week ago, Roman had fans on edge about the seemingly impending drama happening on the series when Ogom “O.G.” Chijindu shared Roman’s tweet to her Instagram Story.
“If you’re not doing better than the person you’re talking s–t about…be quiet, you look stupid 🤷🏽♀️” Roman tweeted April 12.
O.G. added, “🤫.. Real Stupid..🤫. Facts.”
At the top of the year, Roman’s return to “BBW” was in question when fans failed to see her in front of the VH1 cameras like the rest of her co-stars. While the star stayed mum about the status of her negotiations throughout the spring, Roman finally confirmed she’ll be coming back to the show on the NAACP Image Awards red carpet — even if it’s only because she’s contractually obligated to do so.
“Sometimes contracts hold you to certain situations, and I actually love filming ‘Basketball Wives,’” she explained. “I just had to make sure that it was in an environment that I would be comfortable in. They kinda promised me that, and so, contractually, I’m back.”
