Eva Marcille Breaks Down As She Recounts Ex Kevin McCall’s Abusive Behavior Following His Arrest on Domestic Violence Charges

The day after news broke that rapper-actor Kevin McCall was arrested on a felony domestic abuse charge, his ex-girlfriend Eva Marcille opened up about her own experience with alleged abuse from him.

Marcille explained on “The Ricky Smiley Morning Show” Thursday, April 18, that she finally got the courage to come forward about the experience a couple of years ago.

“He was definitely extremely violent — physically abusive,” she said, explaining her ex has a history of abuse against his girlfriends, including a more recent incident where he knocked a woman’s front teeth out. “His inability to have what people call self-control of his frustration and his anger and he takes it out — and he’s not a small guy, he played D1 football.”

The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star went on to describe what her experience with violence was like, which came allegedly at McCall’s hands.

“It didn’t start for me until I was pregnant with Marley,” she says of the 5-year-old daughter she shares with McCall. “I was pregnant with my child, so. Then, about a month after having Marley, it didn’t stop. It got worse and it got worse with her. The final straw was when Marley was actually in my arms once and I was like, ‘I can’t do this no more.’

“So I feel sorry for that girl,” Marcille adds. “I feel bad for women that have to deal with it. It’s actually not a laughable matter. It’s something that makes you feel so little so you really don’t want to talk about it. But it really sucks. And I hope that they keep his ass in jail as long as they can. Period.”

McCall’s arrest earlier this week stemmed from an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred on Jan. 14. The performer was arrested in the Compton Courthouse Monday and jailed before he posted $75,000 bail the next day, according to records from Los Angeles Superior Court.

In response to Marcille’s candidness, fans were touched.

“Her strength and courage to share her her story is inspirational!”

“when she started crying, that really made me so sad.😭”

“Eva you helped someone today….as u stated it is embarrassing but you need to speak on it more.😘😘😘”

“Eva thank you for sharing. You don’t realize how many women you’ve probably helped sharing your story. Kudos to you. #ShesASurvivor #survivor.”

“She’s an inspiration to any woman or man that’s ever been in a place of domestic violence 💙”
