New mom Porsha Williams is clearly enjoying the fun parts of motherhood — like clothing her baby girl and styling her hair — but “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star is also getting real about worries as a parent.
It seems the anxieties concerning daughter Pilar Jhena’ were getting to Williams on Saturday, April 13, when she posted a drawing on her Instagram page of parents preparing to go to bed with their baby next to them. As the father tells the mother she should “get some sleep,” she tells him “I will.” But as she gazes at her baby, who lies next to her, the worries abound.
“If I fall asleep the baby will die. If someone else watches the baby while I sleep, I can’t watch them watch the baby, so the baby will be seriously injured or die in someone else’s care…” the lengthy thoughts said in part.
“Man this is so accurate😩 What’s the secret yo… tha anxiety be real ❤️” Williams captioned the image.
Williams, who welcomed Pilar with fiancé Dennis McKinley in March, got tons of responses from fans who have since left more than 4,000 comments weighing in with sympathy and tips.
“There is no secret. It’s just part of being a mother.”
“The secret is know how essential it is for you to be ok to ensure they are ok that includes resting. God will be your eyes whilst you sleep. @porsha4real x.”
“Unfortunately it never goes away ❤️ just n time u just have to give them to Most High n ask that he eases the worry n keep them covered. No matter how old girl U see them n ur ❤️ melts n motivate the same # mother’s.”
“Its comes with being a mom….and slows down when they can talk for themself. Take it easy.”
Williams gave birth to Pilar on March 22 via cesarean section. Even before she was close to being due, Williams disclosed to People magazine she had some fears about pregnancy.
“I had mixed feelings. The other feeling that I had beside excitement was fear,” she said to the magazine in September 2018 of her feelings upon learning she was pregnant. “I’ve had a miscarriage before in my past, which I’ve also been open about because I suffer with fibroids and had to have a myomectomy. So just the fear of, ‘Is the baby going to be okay? Will I make it full term?’ All those questions that you ask if you’ve had a miscarriage before.”
