Sean Combs, Called Out for Not Marrying Kim Porter, Owns Up to That as a Mistake

Sean “Diddy” Combs was asked recently why he didn’t marry Kim Porter, and he expressed regret.

The Bad Boy founder took to Instagram over the weekend and posted a throwback photo of himself and Porter, who passed on November 15, 2018, from pneumonia. Combs and Porter were together on and off for over a decade and have three children together.

“I remember Kim flying to see me on the set of can’t nobody hold me down,” he wrote. “She took like a 12 hour flight to L.A. and 3 hour ride to the desert. With no complaints. Was always ride or die. From day 1! I called her BONNIE AND I WAS CLYDE! This picture will go down in history as the first time I said she was mine and the first time I told her I love her.”

The post certainly touched some, but it also sparked questions about why Combs didn’t marry Porter when he had the chance.

“You had all this love for her secretly but yet dated other women while she was living,” one person wrote. “Now all of a sudden she’s not here anymore and mysteriously you want the world to see and know that she’s your soulmate. Why didn’t you marry her?”

Another social media user was more succinct in her message to Combs and certainly more accusatory.

“And you never married her,” that person wrote. “Whyyyyyyyyyy???? Yes I said it. You fake. My opinion.”

Combs then answered that person and explained why he and the mother of his children never wed.

“Never fake,” he wrote. “I wasn’t ready and that’s it. I’m ready now but it’s too late. Don’t be like me.”

And the 49-year-old answered another person, who questioned if he had the proper amount of love for Porter to marry her.

“Just didn’t happen,” he responded. “That had nothing to do with the love.”

Meanwhile, Justin Bieber is being slammed for using Combs’ post about Porter to promote his clothing line Drew House.

On Sunday Bieber reposted the photo and wrote “#ddidyfordrewhouse @diddy KP YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR THE STUNNING WOMAN YOU WERE INSIDE AND OUT.”

People tore into the pop star immediately.

“Delete this sir,” someone commented. “He shared this picture in memory of his wife not for promo for the clothing line.”

Bieber eventually responded and said he had no idea Combs was mourning his ex in the photo.
