Snoop Dogg Tricked Matthew McConaughey Into Smoking Weed: ‘You Rapped For 13 Hours Straight’

Snoop Dogg and Matthew McConaughey, who star in the movie “The Beach Bum,”  stopped by “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday and told a funny weed story.

McConaughey plays the character Moondog in the film, while Snoop plays someone named Lingerie, and in the first scene of the day Lingerie is supposed to turn Moondog on to “the magic weed.”

But to keep the actor’s from reciting their lines high, fake joints were used — at least that was supposed to happen until Snoop secretly replaced the phony joints with real ones.

“So the scene goes on and right after the scene I feel like I’m not sure if that was prop and Snoop goes ‘Yo Moondog, that wasn’t prop weed that was Snoop weed.’ I said ‘Buckle up ’cause here we go.'”

The Oscar award-winner then explained just how high he really was at that point.

“I didn’t say another word of English for the rest of the night, and you said I rapped a lot?” he asked Snoop. The rapper then told him he “rapped for 13 hours straight.”

McConaughey also said it took him until 5:30 p.m. the next day to actually catch his breath.

Then on that same day, he asked the “Gin and Juice” creator how the rest of the night went after that first scene, and Snoop told him he “Hit four inside the park home runs.”

At this point, it shouldn’t be any surprise Snoop loves his weed, as it’s been a part of his brand since his 1993 debut album “Doggystyle.” He also got into the legal marijuana business early, and in 2015 released his own strains called Leafs by Snoop.

“The Beach Bum” opened in theaters Friday (March 29), and you can listen to Snoop and McConaughey’s story below at the 6:50 mark.
