Ashanti ‘Bodies’ Her Versace Fashion Look: ‘We Call It a Blackout’

If R&B singer Ashanti is known for only one thing besides music, it’s definitely fashion.

The “Still On It” singer has walked some of the most prestigious award shows, sporting high-fashion brands like Balmain, Tom Ford and her seeming favorite, Versace. She was recently was spotted again in wear from the luxury Italian brand.

The 38-year-old artist attended a supercar event earlier this month in New Jersey hosted by TopGearPorsche Imports. She definitely made her appearance known, seemingly posing as a model in front of the luxury vehicles. She went for a modish fashion look, wearing a white-and-black print Versace bomber that retails for $2,395, a lace bralette, black latex pants, and black thigh-high Giuseppe boots that go for $1,795.00.

Ashanti wrote in her Instagram caption on Thursday “Candidly…” while adding a black heart and flag emoji.

Fans slavered over the “I Got It” musician’s fierce look.

“Ashanti bad af 😏😍,” one fan commented underneath her photo. “We call it a straight blackout ♥️♥️♥️♥️.”

“When Everything in the pic fly 😍👌 u look like a buggatti, million bucks,” another added.

Someone else commented, “Always with the dope fits💫😍 she always slays!”

Ashanti has been going all out with her looks this year and it could be attributed to her comments she made in 2018 about stepping out of the “box.” She told iHeart radio in March 2018, that she would be “trying different looks and shooting different kinds of visuals” in her music and fashions.

“I did a shoot where I’m standing on the ledge of a building, you know, one wrong move [and] it would have been over,” she said. “But I think it’s just really important nowadays to touch people [and] bring something new to the table. And, you know, bring it.”

She also collaborated with Miss Circle in December for a sultry yet glam fashion line.

“My motto has always been to stay classy and sassy and sexy, not trashy,” Ashanti told Page Six. “I think that I always try to inspire women to be bosses and demand respect. You can still be sexy and swaggy and be the boss.”
