Mimi Faust ‘Got Shot?’: Here’s What Fans Learned from ‘LHHATL’ Explosive Season 8 Trailer

The official trailer for “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s” eighth season dropped earlier this week, and it’s every bit as dramatic as could be expected.

Season 7 of “LHHATL” was explosive, but not nearly as much as the new season. The teaser starts off with Stevie J‘s shocking wedding to R&B singer Faith Evans in July 2018. The pair discreetly tied the knot in their Las Vegas hotel after being friends for more than 20 years. The wedding made headlines, shocking fans and loved ones.

The clip then focuses on Mimi Faust, who reportedly was shot at during a home invasion by an anonymous assailant. During the clip, Faust can be heard on the phone with a 911 dispatcher that’s telling her to “stay on the line with me.” She explained the incident to her cast mates and said, “He spots me, turns around and shoots at me.” Another storyline of the 49-year-old is her face-to-face meeting with Evans after her surprise wedding with Faust’s ex.

Karlie Redd‘s relationship with her current husband-to-be Maurice “Mo” Fayne will be explored, along with her desire to have more children. Meanwhile, Rasheeda Frost, who’s mended her marriage with Kirk Frost, will meet her husband’s love child for the first time. The couple were separated during the beginning of season 7 after Kirk fathered 2-year-old Kannon outside of their marriage with former stripper Jasmine Washington. By the end of the season  the pair hadworked out their differences, and now it seems that Rasheeda is attempting to form a relationship with Kirk’s son.

One of the show’s newest additions from last year, Tokyo Vanity, will also appear on the series. She seen having a heated discussion and her friend Sierra who seemingly urges her to lose weight for her health. The trailer also shows Jamaican dancehall rapper Spice returning for another season and highlights her desire to permanently lighten her skin complexion due to the discrimination she’s witnessed in the music industry.

Scrapp DeLeon, who left the show in 2016 after being sentenced to prison, also makes a comeback after spending two years behind bars for drug trafficking charges. He’s rumored to be dating “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood” star Moniece Slaughter, who’s allegedly replacing DeLeon’s ex, Tommie Lee.

Lee was allegedly fired from the show after news broke of her child abuse charges. Producers have neither confirmed or denied Lee’s alleged termination, but it’s rumored that she will not be featured on season 8.

The VH1 series will premiere on March 25, and viewers can hardly wait for the explosive season.
