Toya Wright Confuses Fans with Photo of Daughter Reginae Carter: ‘I Thought This Was You’

TI. & Tiny: Friends and Family Hustle” co-star Toya Wright is leaving fans puzzled with a recent image of her daughter.

Wright recently posted a photo of her eldest daughter Reginae Carter, 20, on her social media, and fans mistook the image for her. She took to Instagram on March 4 and uploaded a picture of Carter, highlighting her beauty.

In the selfie, the 20-year-old sported a natural glam look with minimal makeup. She also showboated her “laid edges” and sleek high ponytail. Wright captioned the photo of her daughter “Beauty is her name ❤️.”

Fans of the 36-year-old thought the photo of Carter was a recent image of her and were stunned at how much the mother-daughter duo physically resemble each other.

“I almost thought this pic was Toya but it’s her baby 😍❤️,” one fan commented. “Geez!! she looks just like her mother.”

Another Instagram user wrote, “I thought this was you for a second!! I know I’m not the only one that keeps mistaking one as the other whenever they post each other 😂 they literally twins frfr Toya you don’t age at all ❣️.”

“Toya girl I thought this way you. Priceless  i get confused every time @toyawright I swear y’all twins 👀.”

Lately Wright has been in mama bear mode against social media trolls who continue to bash Carter and her 1-year-old sister Reign Rushing’s appearances. Wright called out negative Nellies in an Instagram post on Feb. 18, saying she will not tolerate anyone disparaging her daughters.

“My kids always have and always will come before any of this shit and I will not tolerate any disrespect when it comes to them,” the mother of two wrote. “Bet the land on that! With that being said….F–k ANYbody that has ANYthing negative to say about my daughters. Now back to my regular scheduled program. ✌🏾 #missmewiththecyberbullying.”

In January 2018, the “Family Hustle” star told the Shade Room that she wanted to keep her toddler out of the limelight as much as possible, completely opposite of how Carter was raised.

“Honestly I have learned over the years to keep as much of my personal life as private as I can,” she said. “That being said, while I do not plan to hide her, I do plan to shield her from the negative energy that can often come from social media.”
