“Growing Hip Hop: Atlanta” alum Toya Wright delivered a loud and clear message to social media trolls who continue to bash her children.
Wright was in no mood this weekend to deal with the negative comments revolving around her two daughters: 1-year-old Reign Beaux Rushing and 20-year-old Reginae Carter. Folks have constantly criticized her toddler’s appearance and even left cruel comments underneath the photos of baby Reign’s first birthday party.
Wright recently went viral for clapping back at a fan who gave their unwanted opinion to her eldest daughter by saying she “needs makeup.”
“Lies. She don’t need s–t,” Wright fired back at the person trolling her 20-year-old daughter. “She’s beautiful with or without.”
However, things quickly boiled over when an Instagram platform called the Shade Room posted a photo of Wright and her 1-year-old to their social page on Feb. 18. The image drew a slew of negative comments from folks bashing baby Reign’s appearance.
“Please stop posting my child on this toxic a– page before I catch a case,” the mother of two wrote.
She then took to her personal Instagram account moments later and posted a picture of baby Reign with a strong message for trolls calling her children “ugly.”
“People are so fu–ing miserable. How can you talk about an innocent baby? Who the f–k raised y’all stupid a–es?” the mama bear fired off. “Social media goes too far. My kids always have and always will come before any of this s–t and I will not tolerate any disrespect when it comes to them. Bet the land on that! With that being said….F–k ANYbody that has ANYthing negative to say about my daughters.”
She added the hashtag “#missmewiththecyberbullying.”
Fans chimed in and commended Wright for defending her children.
“I know that’s right Toya 🙏🏾💪🏾! She is beautiful!!! Only people with no life would insult a child!! Tell them go to hell!” a fan exclaimed.
“Your daughters are beautiful,” another added. ” I don’t blame you for being pissed! These mfs have nothing else better to do and obviously no life.”
Wright has acted at times as if she wants to protect her children from social media scrutiny. She and the father of her 1-year-old, Robert Rushing, both waited almost seven months to announce Wright’s pregnancy in 2017 due to wanting to keep her soon-to-be newborn out of the spotlight.
The reality TV veteran of both “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” and “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” told the Shade Room — somewhat paradoxically — in January 2018, “Honestly I have learned over the years to keep as much of my personal life as private as I can. That being said, while I do not plan to hide her, I do plan to shield her from the negative energy that can often come from social media.”
