Prim Critics Slam Joseline Hernandez for Letting 2-Year-Old Bonnie Bella Wear Dress for ‘Gymnastics Day’

Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” actress Joseline Hernandez is under fire for letting her 2-year-old daughter wear a dress while doing gymnastics.

The 32-year-old mother took to Instagram on Saturday and shared photos of her toddler Bonnie Bella having a field day on the balance beam, tumbling mats and parallel bars. During the 2-year-old’s gymnastics session she was wearing a long tulle dress. Hernandez wrote in her image caption “Gymnastics day!”

Fans in the comments bombarded Hernandez’s post on how “inappropriate” and unsafe it was for her toddler to wear a dress while playing on the gymnastics equipment.

“What in the Easter Sunday is going on here?” one fan rhetorically asked. “I work with kids, and trust me I’ve seen some things, but for safety reason Bella shouldn’t have had a dress on and Joseline should of dressed her appropriately 😩.”

“She should have on some tights not be playing in her Easter dress smh,” another Instagram user commented. “Ya’ll do realize that in Gymnastics you do turn flips right?? So her little dress is gonna fly up and show all of her little goods. Not a good idea.”

“Why the dress Joseline *scratches head* 🤔 ? She gone get hurt while playing in it,” said another detractor.

Others quickly raced to Hernandez’s aid, defending her parenting skills against critics.

“So what she has a dress on. She is a girly girl, I love it. Ya’ll must not be parents 🤦🏽‍♀️.”

“Why she got on a dress? Because her momma bought it & its their dam business!! Just enjoy the picture and stfu👏.”

Hernandez’s manner of parenting doesn’t always sit well with fans, but the reality star has made it clear in prior interviews that she has her daughter’s best interests at heart.

The self-proclaimed “Puerto Rican Princess” told Huffington Post that her daughter is the reason she decided to turn over a new leaf after being known for her explosive behavior on “LHHATL.”

“You know, I think when you become a mother your whole life changes because now you have to care for another person,” Hernandez said. “Everything that I went through in my life, I want my daughter not to have to go through. … I think that becoming a mother makes you focus so much more in your business.”

Hernandez definitely has her mind on the money and reportedly secured her very own reality series last year on We TV called “Joseline Takes Miami.” The show is supposed to center on Hernandez’s journey as a single mother. However, there was an alleged delay in moving forward with the show due to Hernandez having to reshoot the series. There’s no word on why she would have to do so or if/when the show will air on television.
