“Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” alum Reginae Carter doesn’t seem to be backing down from critics who bashed her natural appearance earlier this week.
On Feb. 19, the young actress received a backhanded compliment from a non-fan who suggested she put on makeup after sporting a natural look. Well, it appears that Carter is firing back at the detractor with her latest chain of photos.
The 20-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday night and posted a series of makeup-free selfies to her page. In the photos, she shows off her natural radiant skin without any trace of makeup and her semi-sparse eyebrows. She opted for a sleek hairdo with her middle-parted brown-and-blond tresses.

Carter seemingly captured the shots of her natural essence in the comfort of her own home with her phone camera. She captioned the photos with a smiling face-three hearts emoji.

Fans commended the 20-year-old for rising to the bait from random social media trolls.

On Monday, the young actress shared a picture of herself on social media rocking her natural face at an event, when the critic who urged her to wear makeup commented, “You not ugly but you need make up sis ❤️.”
Carter’s mother Toya Wright intervened and hit back at the person, “She don’t need s–t. She’s beautiful with or without.”
The reality star told BET in 2017 that she often feels pressured in the media spotlight. She also claims to deal with scrutiny from fans due to her father Lil Wayne‘s musical success.
“I feel like people put pressure on me for no reason,” Carter stated. “They don’t look at me like this little girl growing up, they look at me as Lil Wayne’s daughter and Toya’s daughter growing up. … I still make mistakes. I still do things, like I’m growing up.”
