Alexis Skyy‘s one-year-old daughter appears to be making a speedy recovery.
This week it was reported that the “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star rushed her baby girl Alaiya Grace to the hospital on Sunday, Jan. 27 after the 1-year-old kept vomiting during their flight from Atlanta to New York. The child was admitted and underwent emergency brain surgery to repair a malfunctioning stunt.
Several fans were worried for Skyy and baby Alaiya, but it seems the one-year-old is doing just fine.
The 24-year-old mother took to her Instagram on Thursday to let fans know that her daughter was given the green light to go home.
“Princess 💕💕💕 we going home GOD is so good 🙏🏾,” Skyy wrote in her Instagram caption with a photo of baby Alaiya flashing a smile.
In another post on Skyy’s Instagram Story, she said that her daughter was “doing better” and in high spirits.
“Thank God Lay Lay is back active and doing better.”
The 24-year-old also thanked her family and nanny for helping her amid baby Alaiya’s surgery. She added that she had the “best support system” ever.
Skyy’s daughter was born three months premature on Jan. 4, 2017 and only weighed 1 lb. She suffers from hydrocephalus, a medical condition that is an abnormal accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities in the brain and causes bleeding.
Supporters of Skyy and her 1-year-old daughter were amazed by the little girl’s strength and were happy to see her doing well.
“Wow she’s such a soldier,” a fan wrote. “Glad to see her making a full recovery. Keep being that awesome mom and stay strong for her!❤️.”
A second person wrote, “Wow she’s such a strong little one I can’t believe she’s sitting up already. God is Great! All the time! Lovin’ that smile😍.”
“I just want to thank all yall for sending your prayers and love [for my] baby girl. I appreciate that shit,” he said.
