In the early hours of Thursday morning, Jan. 31, a TMZ story surfaced that stated Cardi and Offset were living together again after she’s been out of their Atlanta home since December 2018.
The insider said she decided to return because Offset made some big changes in regards to staying faithful.
Because in early December 2018, the Migos member was caught trying to organize a threesome with the rapper Cuban Doll and the model Summer Bunni, which one of Cuban’s former friends revealed.
But Cuban denied even knowing Offset. Buni, however, admitted to sleeping with him, for which she publicly apologized to Cardi The Bronx spitter then announced she was splitting from Offset in a video on Dec. 5 and said they “grew out of love.”
The source explained that one of the ways Offset is trying to prove his faithfulness is by changing his cellphone number, so he can’t be contacted by former flames. He also supposedly promised to stay away from groupies, especially this weekend when he performs around Atlanta for the Super Bowl, since it’s being played there.
But in a now deleted-Tweet, Cardi shut down the report of getting back with the “Bad and Boujee” rhymer and called it a big, fat lie.
“TMZ, why ya be lying,” she tweeted Thursday. “I haven’t even been in Atl since Christmas.”
But that doesn’t mean all hope is lost for the couple, because when Cardi was coming out of a New York City courthouse on Thursday for an assault case that began last year, a reporter asked about the status of her relationship with Offset.
“We working things out, baby,” she said.
Plus, it seems Cardi’s husband is doing all he can to win her back, which he’s been doing since she left.
“He has been pursuing her hard and trying to convince her to get back together with him since the day they split,” said a People magazine source.
On July 25, 2018, Cardi announced that she and Offset had secretly gotten married after TMZ published a copy of their marriage licence. The estranged couple has a 6-month-old daughter together named Kulture, born on July 10.
