The secret is out! Kandi Burruss and Tamar Braxton are joining “Celebrity Big Brother” starting on Jan. 21.
The reality TV stars announced on Jan. 13 on their respective social media accounts that they’ll be on the hit CBS show.
On Sunday morning, Burruss disclosed in a video on her official YouTube page that she wasn’t sure what she was getting into by joining the cast.
“I am assuming that they have made the announcement that I am a part of the cast of ‘Celebrity Big Brother,'” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star says in the clip, noting she’ll be off social media but will give control of her accounts to friends and family. “Now, I really don’t know what I’m getting myself into. It was a quick decision that was made to put me on the show … I hope I win!”
Excitement also emerged for Braxton, who has experience with reality TV on her family’s We TV series “Braxton Family Values.”
“Surprise! Ive been such a huge fan of this show, and finally, I get to compete! Make sure you tune in starting Monday, January 21st to catch me on Celebrity Big Brother on CBS 🙌🏽🙌🏽😘😘😘” Braxton wrote on Instagram later that day accompanied by a promo photo of her for the show.
Fans quickly started sharing their excitement about the women being on the show, which is going into its second season this year.
“Alright now! I’m definitely watching this season! #Winner.”
“Ok Celebrity Big Brother! I stopped watching but I’ll watch to support you. If you go home then I’ll stop watching again.😂”
“A reason to watch 🔥🔥🔥”
“This will be the first season I watch let me set my dvr.”
Burruss and Braxton will be joined by former NFL running back Ricky Williams, Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte, ’80s TV star Joey Lawrence, and former Trump communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Others involved include Olympic hurdler and bobsledder Lolo Jones, actor/comic Tom Green, Lindsay Lohan’s mother, Dina Lohan, “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett, former WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie, and O.J. Simpson’s former houseguest Kato Kaelin.
And despite her husband Les Moonves losing CBS CEO job over allegations of sexual misconduct last year, Julie Chen is set to continue her hosting gig on “CBB.”
