Cynthia Bailey’s Ex Husband Peter Thomas Comes Under Fire for Video Clip about ‘Light-Skinned Face’

Peter Thomas has been introduced to the phenomenon of “light-skinned face,” thanks to his teenage son.

The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” staple explained his discovery on Instagram on Christmas.

“Guy’s talking about he’s giving the light-skinned face. What the hell is a light-skinned face?” Thomas says in the video before panning to Bryce, who rubs his chin while licking his lips, for a demonstration. “That’s ya light-skinned face?

“What that do? What’s that right there?” Thomas says between laughter with his son.

“My son is introducing me to the light skin face, what is the light skin face??? 😂😂😂 @bryce.thomass Merry Christmas to all. #family,” Thomas captioned the video uploaded on Christmas Day.

Many fans also found comedy in the clip.

“He ain’t lying😂😂”

“😂😂what that do lmao”

“So funny 😆 now you’re going to have me driving around looking for you 😆 my fave Atlanta husband 😆”

“😂🤣Yo he look like a young Al B Sure.”

“Lolol😂🤣😂@peterthomasrhoa Give him the Fine dark skinned face!😉”

“I have a 16 year old what I call him mellow yellow. So I’ve heard it’s called pretty boy swag lol.. kids gotta love em🤣”

But others blasted the former RHOA star.

“Come on now teach that kid about how color division has divided us as a people due to thoughts like that.” Another fan agreed with the comment.  “Thank you. Instead of perpetuating ignorance.”

“Light skin doesn’t automatically mean pretty boy 🙄So Annoying.”

“What does it really mean?! And where does that phrase come from? All shades are beautiful. Foolishness in this day and age. “

The backlash from “light-skinned face” comes six months after Thomas was forced to defend his ex for describing their son as not being Black, but brown.

“What do I have?” Thomas’ ex Nancy Hernandez asked her son, who replied, “A white daughter and Black son.”

“You’re not Black, you’re brown,” she replies.

“My dad is the color of a newly paved street,” Bryce replied. “I’m Black.”

Fans took major issue with Hernandez’s apparent dismissal of the teen’s blackness despite the fact that his father is Black. In turn, Thomas took to Instagram to blast the criticism.

“Y’all gotta be f—ing kidding me,” he said at the time. “We made that beautiful boy together. You hear my son clearly say that his dad is Black like a freshly paved street and his mom is just having fun with him. OK? So ain’t no racist s— here. If she called him brown that’s her f—ing prerogative.”
