Lil Wayne’s Daughter Reginae Carter Lands Acting Role in Upcoming Lifetime Movie

Reginae Carter has secured a role in the Lifetime film “Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta.” The film is to be a more modern spin on the novel “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen.

Carter will be working alongside veterans in the acting industry like Jackée Harry, Keshia Knight-Pulliam, Victoria Rowell, and Reginald VelJohnson. The film will be produced by Big Dreams Entertainment and Swirl Films. Terry McMillan will be the executive producer and writer.

Landing this role is a big thing for the 19-year-old because she dropped out of school to pursue her acting career. Carter revealed on the first episode of “T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle” that she was no longer interested in continuing her education at Clark Atlanta University. She explained to her mother that she wanted to pursue a career in acting.

In a clip from “ T.I. & Tiny: Family & Friends Hustle” Carter said to her mother Toya Wright, “About school … I’m not sure if I want to go back.” She continued, “I wanted to make you proud. … School is not for me.”
