Social media has been buzzing about Cole and Phillips’ Halloween costume and said they completely embodied their ensemble. The pair drew their inspiration from the classical film “B.A.P.S.” which stands for Black American Princesses. It was directed by Robert Townsend in 1997 and starred Hollywood actresses Halle Berry who played the role of Nisi and Natalie Desselle who starred as Mickey.
Cole dressed up as the character Nisi and donned an orange bodysuit with a gold belt-chain wrapped around her waist, transparent stiletto heels, long nails, over-sized hoops and a platinum blonde high-rise up do. Philips sported a leopard-printed suit with yellow outlining, block heels and a towering hairdo.
Phillips posted she and Cole’s photo on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Halloween 🎃 @keyshiacole We bodied this!”
The “I Remember” singer retweeted a fan who posted the image on Twitter and deemed it as, “The BEST BAPS costume of all time! *Kanye voice.”
The Internet went bananas over the duo’s Halloween costumes and said they nailed the “B.A.P.S.” characters hands down. Fans begged Cole to post more photos of their garb on IG.
“Keyshia post your Halloween costume please.”
“I’m waiting to see your Halloween costume @keyshiacole ❤️.”
“I love both of the B.A.P.S costumes especially I like costume Keyshia Cole too👍.”
“Yeesss omg I love this. That’s my all time favorite movie and they both definitely nailed it. Costume, hair and all.”
“Definitely did body these looks!”
“Y’all did bomb ‘Shol did’ in Mikki’s voice😂😂😂❤️.”
Cole starred on season 4 of “LHH” with her ex-husband Boobie Gibson. However, the star only appeared on the VH1 show for one season and quit months after.
