Expectant parents Porsha Williams and her fiancé Dennis McKinley were noticeably disappointed during their gender reveal party on Saturday, Oct. 27. And McKinley has vowed he won’t give up on his dreams of having a boy.
Video of the event went viral when family and friends popped their confetti, revealing a cloud of pink for a baby girl. Meanwhile, McKinley threw his hands on his head while his fianceé flailed her arms around wondering why her confetti was blue.
McKinley had hoped for a boy and made that clear on Instagram Tuesday, Oct. 30. He joked that he was ready to go for round two immediately to make that happen.

Earlier, however, Instagram users definitely caught the couple’s unexpected reactions and sounded off accordingly.

“I think she wanted a boy.”
“Ya he doesn’t look the least bit happy then you got her throwing a fit about her confetti not working 🙄”
Williams later explained the reason behind their confusion on “Dish Nation.”
“When we popped it, I saw blue and I was like, ‘Yeah, it’s a boy,’” she said on the Oct. 29 airing of the show. “And then I look in the crowd and pink is everywhere. So then I’m like, ‘Wait, now I’m pissed. Who handed me a blue popper?’ Then I was confused.
“Dennis had to be the most shocked,” she added of McKinley’s response. “He is the one who swore up and down it was a boy because the umbilical cord on the sonogram was the penis.”
