Steve Harvey’s Halloween costume is so convincing he’s got fans confusing him for a certain “Super Freak” singer.
On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the comedian dressed as his self-proclaimed Big Pimpin’ alter ego but many fans thought he looked more like Rick James on the festive holiday.
“Edna an PIMPIN…… pimpin video to come stay tuned,” the talk show host captioned the photo of himself and his wife, Marjorie Harvey. She was dressed as Edna Mode from Disney and Pixar’s “The Incredibles” films.

Despite Harvey frequently describing himself as Big Pimpin’ throughout the years, several fans failed to make the connection.
“A rick James look a like.”

Harvey told “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2014 that he wanted his granddaughter to refer to him as Big Pimpin.’
“Biggie’s song was ‘big pimpin’ spending cheese’ and that’s all I do is spend money,” he said, mistakenly attributing Jay-Z’s 1999 song “Big Pimpin'” to the late Biggie Smalls.”
Knowing that fact, there were some fans who caught onto the costume’s concept.

Not content to let fans have just a photo, Harvey’s wife uploaded a video of her husband in action as the star’s alter ego made it rain.
“Big Pimpin’ got big money,” Harvey comically said in the clip. “What you need? Now that’s big money right there. Can’t be Big Pimp if you don’t got no money.”
