Kenya Moore continues to deal with the complications associated with her high-risk pregnancy, and she detailed her latest test with fans.
“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum shared a video with her followers on Monday, Oct. 29 and although her voice was full of disappointment, she found a silver lining.
“So I’m doing this stress test for the baby,” she says in an Instagram Story video as she lies down on an examination table. “I feel like crap, but if you listen you can hear the baby’s heartbeat on the monitor they have me hooked up to.”
Moore’s update comes after she posted a photo of her shockingly swollen feet Saturday and detailed her issues with high blood pressure.
“I made fun of my swollen feet at @cynthiabailey10 party. Next day my tests came back for possible preeclampsia… I gained 17 lbs in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine,” Moore said in the accompanying caption on Oct. 27. “This is NOT normal!
“I took more tests. Baby is fine but if they come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day,” she added. “Staying positive. To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.🙏🏾 #babydaly #highrisk #love #family #miraclebaby #kenyamoore #babybump #pregnantover40.”
The 47-year-old’s pregnancy is high risk due to her age, and that may have been a factor in her struggle to conceive. She visited a fertility clinic in Barbados last year and underwent in vitro fertilization.
Moore’s current issues in her pregnancy comes after she had a relatively easy time with IVF.
“I don’t have a horror story,” she told People magazine in May. “It’s weird because you hear other people’s troubles with the injections and the hormones. And for me, it was a pretty simple process.”
