“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star told “Bossip on We” Thursday, Oct. 4 that she believes everything will be fine with her spouse and explained how his cancer, which NeNe disclosed to fans over the summer, has transformed their lives.
“The Big C came into our lives — cancer — and it really just changed our entire lives,” she explains. “We were shocked to know that he had cancer and it’s been a tough experience.”
NeNe recently accompanied her husband to the hospital where he underwent an undisclosed surgery last month relating to his cancer. Just over a week after the procedure, she was able to take her groom home. However, it was an emotional car ride there.
“Gregg, don’t. Everything’s gonna be fine,” she reassured Gregg. “The good thing is, you going home, OK?”
A night earlier, Leakes went on Instagram Live to share how she was holding up.
“It’s definitely a hard thing to watch any family member go through the big C word,” she said. “But I’m hanging in there. It’s a lot, though. It’s a lot on me but I’m just trying to do everything I can do to make Gregg’s process the best it can be.”
NeNe also told Bossip she and Gregg have switched up their diets, something she had disclosed on Instagram in July. NeNe is pescatarian while Gregg has gone vegan.
“Gregg has switched his diet to Vegan and I’m supporting his efforts so I’ve given up all meat and consider myself a Pescatarian! It wasn’t even hard for me! I just said, ‘I’M DONE’ but I need a little seafood in my life🤷🏾♀️.”
The Leakes have decided to go a natural route when it comes to treating Gregg’s cancer instead of dealing with chemotherapy.
