Black conservative Candace Owens is defending Kanye West once again, this time challenging actor Chris Evans to a debate after the movie star criticized West for his unabashed support of President Donald Trump.
Evans’ rebuke followed a weekend of head-scratching, maddening speeches by West praising Trump after a taping of “Saturday Night Live,” where he appeared as the musical guest. Although his monologue was met with loud boos, that didn’t stop the Grammy-winning rapper from hopping on Twitter and doing more of the same, going so far as to call for the abolishment of the 13th Amendment, which ended slavery.
Evans, best known for his role as Marvel’s Captain America, blasted West’s position on the 13th Amendment as “retrogressive, unprecedented and absolutely terrifying.” Owens didn’t take too kindly to the “personal attack” on her friend, however.
“Nothing pisses white liberals off more than finding out that ‘their blacks’ refuse to behave the way they want them too,” she tweeted Monday. “Both @LanaDelRey and @ChrisEvans reacted poorly when they learned Kanye wasn’t their property.”
She added, “By the way,
@ChrisEvans — since you seem to suggest that black people who don’t agree with you are ‘stupid,’ I openly challenge you to a debate. @Politicon is in a couple of weeks — Why don’t you put your racist sentiments on full display and debate a black conservative?”
Owens continued her attack on Evans in an interview with the conservative Breitbart News, where she said the actor sounded like “a plantation owner” and sarcastically dubbed him “Captain out of touch with America.”
“It’s them that think their ideas are supreme and superior,” she said of members of the left-wing Hollywood elite. “Evans didn’t challenge Kanye’s statements. He simply launched a personal attack.”
“It was the euphemistic equivalent of Evans calling Kanye a dumb nigger,” Owens continued, accusing the actor of suggesting West is “dumb and weak.” “Chris Evans basically called Kanye West a dumb nigger. And he’s going to get away with it.”
West and Owens became fast friends earlier this year when the rapper tweeted he was a fan of “the way Candace Owens thinks.” Their mutual support for Trump brought them even closer.
During a Monday appearance on “Fox & Friends,” Owens called Kanye “one of the Bravest men in America right now.”
“The left has declared war on our American values and Kanye is fighting the cultural front,” she said. “So what Kanye is doing is unbelievably brave. “To stand up to the mob, to put on a MAGA hat and say I support this president.”
