We still may be two years from deciding who the next U.S. president will be, but T.I. seems ready to cast his vote right now. In fact, he’s already endorsed Will Smith.
A few days ago, Smith and Dave Chappelle performed at a Hollywood event together, and a reporter asked the “I Am Legend” actor if he’d ever run for president.
“You would vote for me if I ran?” asked Smith.
“Yes, I would,” said the reporter.
“All right, then. I’ll consider it,” joked the actor. “I’m going to take it under advisement.”
Then Chappelle chimed in.
“And I’ll be the vice president,” he stated. “So that way nothing bad will happen to Will.”
T.I. seemed excited about the two funny men combining forces to take on Donald Trump and Mike Pence in 2020, which he conveyed to his followers.
“Got my vote,” he wrote. “Smith/Chappelle 2020.”
Of course, Smith, Chappelle, as well as Tip were all being tongue-in-cheek, but that didn’t stop people from expressing excitement.
“Got my vote too,” one person wrote.
“This, if you know, will be one of the best presidents [the] USA has seen since Obama,” wrote another. “And a better celebrity president than Donald Trump.”
