Tamar Braxton has been publicly gushing about her new relationship with her Nigeran beau but one fan decided to rain on her parade.
Nearly a week after she officially confirmed her she’s dating her hunky Harvard graduate, a Twitter user clowned the singer over a stereotype about Nigeran men.
“It’s all fun and games till you find out they are legally married to a tribe of women in Nigeria😂,” user @specialgirlrob said in response to a tweet Braxton posted about how fine her man is.
“At a table full of Nigerian men and I don’t know WTF they are saying🤔… ion even CARE!!!! ALL I know is that THIS one right HERE next to me??…is FINE As HELL!! #praiseGod #hereforit🤪😋 #saywhateverulike #🤷🏽♀️ #wakandaforeverbih #immoving,” the star previously tweeted.
Fans of the performer took time to question @specialgirlrob for her post.
“Why are you trying to split people up, do you have facts to back up your claim or is it based on fallacies.”
“Judging the cover of a book without going through it. its useless and jobless girls like you who usually destroys peoples relationship and also spreading negativity about Nigeria men. #sandSandForGarri.”
“It was [a] joke calm down I’m not splitting no one up she don’t even know me,” @specialgirlrob replied.
So when Braxton caught what the Twitter user said, she issued a swift response and affirmed she and her man are going strong.
“Sorry sis🤷🏽♀️ he’s been here since he was 21. No wife there but I’ll let you know when we go there together for his mother’s bday 🤪.”
Braxton hasn’t named her new man but she gave the most information she ever has about her boyfriend on “The Wendy Williams Show” last week. The singer explained she had only been seeing her man for a few months but that it “feels like forever.”
Describing the mystery man, Wendy Williams told viewers he’s “African, he’s in wealth finance, he’s got dreads … he’s got a really nice body.”
