Amara La Negra Dragged Over Instagram Caption Claiming Women Should Clean Men’s Homes

Love and Hip Hop Miami” star Amara La Negra likely didn’t expect these two different responses to her post about keeping her man’s home spotless.

On Sunday, Aug. 12, the singer posted a controversial Instagram post that indicated it was the woman’s responsibility to keep her boyfriend’s space clean.

“A Man’s House is a Reflection of the woman [he’s] with.💫 Food For Thought,💭” the post was initially captioned.

Many fans didn’t take kindly to the message and promptly dragged the performer for putting the housework duties on the woman even if she’s not married to her partner.

“Oh. Hell. No.”

“Is the woman his cleaner? 😳”

“Girl, what year are you living in? It’s HIS f–king house. It’s a reflection of HIM, and how much he cares about his surroundings. I have my own place to keep clean. Call Molly Maids, n—a. Or clean like I know your mama taught you. Backwards.”

“Girl do I look like imma let someone turn me into a house negro???? Them times are OVER.”

“Sis…you were out here singing about how insecure he makes you feel. But you about to be a maid for him? Stop being a pick me!!!!”

“Nope. So your gender stereotypes make you feel better in your ‘role’ as a woman? Woman does not = housekeeper. Try again.”

Such a response led Amara to edit the caption to read, “‘A man’s house is a reflection of the woman’s he’s with. Food for thought.’ 💭 Being Pretty is Just a Bonus with me.”

She also deactivated the comments section before opening them back up later on.

However, Amara’s message wasn’t received poorly by all. After fans mocked the post with pictures and captions of their own, the star inadvertently launched an internet challenge all her own.

“🤣🤣🤣 is This the Clean Yo Mans house Challenge? 🤣🤣🤣” the star captioned one post she shared on Instagram. But the challenge got more and more ridiculous as others began taking things further and vacuuming their showers.

“🤣🤣🤣 THIS IS HILARIOUS! How Many of My Girls Clean [their] house/[their] Boyfriend/Man/Husbands House?” La Negra captioned a separate post. “Who agrees and Who doesn’t and why! Hashtag #GirlTalk.”
