“Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams made her return to the VH1 reality series this season following a hiatus, but the star says she didn’t exactly have a warm welcome back.
“It has been a trying season on ‘Basketball Wives,’ Williams confessed to Fashion Bomb Daily. “I truly don’t have drama in my real life outside of TV so it is a bit exhausting at times. I am catching hell this season but I say this, the real show is behind the scenes!”
Still, there has been tons of drama captured on camera for the world to see. Most notably, Williams was blamed for spreading the rumor that co-star Evelyn Lozada hooked up with Shaunie O’Neal’s ex, but she has continued to put the blame on Tami Roman. When things came to a head over the matter during Sunday night’s episode, Roman promptly pulled out receipts while Williams failed to provide her promised text evidence.
But that’s not the only issue that’s been playing out on screen for Williams.
“My worst moment was probably going through a court trial with an ex-boyfriend on camera,” she said. “I wish it was a clean breakup and the unnecessary court drama was not in my life and especially not while I was filming a reality show. However, it probably resulted in my best moment on the show which was going to see a relationship coach. I wanted to take accountability for being in several dysfunctional relationships and see why I was attracting these type of men in my life. I truly feel Spicy Mari helped me in that department so it was a breakthrough moment for me. ”
Williams is referring to her fall out after her break-up with “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s” star Tim Norman. In the aftermath of their split, the two hurled temporary restraining orders against one another, alleging violence among other things. Requests from both parties for a permanent restraining order against the other were shot down in June.
Yet the biggest round of drama for the star has yet to air this season. In a mid-season trailer for the rest of BBW, Williams showed up uninvited on a group trip to Amsterdam. When Malaysia Pargo went off on her, it culminates in Pargo throwing a table in Williams’ direction.
Regardless, Williams doesn’t wallow in past actions and decisions.
“I try not to live life with regrets. I believe there is a lesson and/or blessing from every experience whether good or bad.”
Williams’ candid FBD profile comes amid speculation that she’s the sole member of the “Basketball Wives” cast who skipped the season 7 reunion, which is currently taping.
