A relaxing, pool photo “Basketball Wives” star Jennifer Williams posted was met with a flurry of criticism, bringing exactly what she wanted to avoid to the table.
“A Sunday well spent and surrounded by happiness with people I love. I made a promise to myself to eliminate any and everyone who doesn’t bring joy to my life,” she wrote in the caption of the Sunday, July 22 post. “Thank you @msrocc68 @blessbetrue @raquel.lamothe @erica_manny for making this day a joy for me thus far 💋.”
While Williams wore a smile on her face as she floated on an inflatable in the pool, she likely wasn’t smiling once she glimpsed the commenters that were tearing her apart. Many of the remarks focused on calling out the former Mrs. Eric Williams for sharing a rumor — which she tried to blame on Tami Roman — about castmate Evelyn Lozada sleeping with Shaunie O’Neal’s ex.

Other fans, however, encouraged Williams to continue to stay above the negativity.

Williams ultimately apologized for her part in the rumor. Yet while O’Neal forgave her, she made it clear to her other castmates she wants nothing to do with the drama.
The above call out wasn’t the first time Williams has been put on blast after making a blanketed announcement about banishing negativity.
“It’s a new week, let’s all try and be great today and every day. Don’t let challenges, setbacks or mistakes keep you from reaching your goals. Happy Monday 💕,” she said two weeks ago on Instagram.
Fans promptly called her out for her involvement in the rumor.
