Meek Mill Set to Visit White House: Meek Mill is due to visit the White House today Friday, May 18 to talk about prison reform. It is unclear if he will be meeting with Trump, but according to TMZ, many of his celebrity friends have urged him not to go. The rapper spent the last five months in jail for violating probation from an old gun and drug conviction.

UPDATE: Meek Mill has canceled his meeting with Trump. According to TMZ, Jay-Z talked to the rapper and explained how a meeting with Trump will affect his image. In a statement,  Meek said, “I was originally scheduled to be part of a panel on Prison Reform at the White House to help shed light on the issues within the system. Unfortunately, the focus turned to the President and Myself which concerned me that it might take away from creating a positive result from today’s discussions.”

He continues, “As a result, I decided not to attend so that the focus would be solely on fixing our prison system. Most importantly I remain fully committed to improving our criminal justice system.”
