A Georgia woman whose herpes lawsuit against Usher was dropped last year is hitting him with another one.

Laura Helm, initially sued the “Climax” singer for $20 million for allegedly infecting her with herpes. However, Saturday, April 28 Bossip reported the case was dropped last year without prejudice. Because of that, Helm can refile and did so last week according to documents obtained by the Black celebrity gossip site.

Helm repeated her previous claim of getting herpes from Usher, whom she said she had protected vaginal sex with at her Atlanta home beginning in April 2017. They also had unprotected oral sex and court papers said Usher raced to the bathroom when he ejaculated, rather than staying in front of her.

The pair had vaginal sex again two weeks later in New Orleans, but this time, there was no protection. Helm claims the 39-year-old once again hid his penis and hit the bathroom when he ejaculated. Then, a few days later, Helm discovered a bump inside her cheek and a painful pea-sized bump on her vulva. Concerned when she read articles detailing Usher’s herpes status, she went to a doctor and learned she was infected, too.

“Plaintiff suffers mentally and emotionally from the humiliation and stigma attached a single woman infected with the incurable Herpes SV2,” the filing said.

Helm, who said Usher has initiated having unprotected sex against her will, also said the singer hasn’t denied having genital herpes. But she alleges Usher claimed she assumed the risk of getting infected by agreeing to have sex with him.

After Usher failed to adhere to his legal obligation to inform Helm of his status, the plaintiff says she suffered physically and emotionally because of her sexually transmitted infection. As such, Helm is suing for negligence, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress and fraud. She also seeks an unspecified amount of monetary damages.

Helm’s lawsuit follows a January TMZ report that she is suing insurance companies for leaking her health information.
