Lebron James fired back once more at Fox News host Laura Ingraham after she told the NBA star to “shut up and dribble.”
Although the Cleveland Cavalier player posted a photo this past weekend reading “I am more than an athlete, he didn’t stop there. The basketball star clapped back once more at Ingraham during NBA All-Star media day on Saturday.
James began by telling reporters he “had no idea who she is or what she did” before her attacks. He continued, “I mean too much to society (to ‘shut up and dribble’). I mean too much to the youth, I mean too much to so many kids that feel like they don’t have a way out and they need someone to help lead them out of the situation they’re in.”
Ingraham received major backlash after making negative comments towards James for his interview with “Uninterrupted.” The news anchor remarked, “It’s always unwise to seek political advice from someone who gets paid $100 million a year to bounce a ball.” She also claimed that James didn’t graduate from high school.
“I also wish she would of did a little bit more fact-checking because I actually did finish high school and didn’t leave early. I graduated high school,” James detailed.
He went on to say that Fox News doesn’t have a “great rap sheet when it comes to race in our country… There’s been many people that’s not African-American that’s spoke upon the same issues that I’ve spoke upon and they [Fox News] didn’t say anything to them.”
